Welcome to this unique, peer-to-peer, educational platform.
I established this forum January 1 because most people I know (myself, included) could use a bit more understanding of economics – its role in our lives and those of others. Approaching it thru the framework of our spiritual background and aspirations might be good. For example, are you aware of Baháʼí economic principles? Perhaps you're familiar with Islamic prohibition of debt and its approach to banking? Has Jesus' attitude toward economics come alive to you?
SEE exists because economics is an area of human life discussed less than other topics, yet fundamental to most of them. (Have you noticed, for instance, how "ecology" and "economy" share the same root ["eco" ] ? )
Thanks to the network nature of the Internet, this is a "peer-to-peer" (P2P) platform – an online listening circle. So fortunately I'm not playing sage-on-a-stage here. I just facilitate the backstage duties of being site admin, speak from my own experience and heart, and listen deeply. So for me this is an opportunity for me to practice "beginner's mind" – help build community – and learn together with everyone.
To introduce myself a bit more, I'll say I'm a white, cis male, hanging out on the spectrum, a senior, of Jewish origin, and a practicing Buddhist. I have a background as what Malcolm Gladwell calls "an outlier" ... Howard Gossage "a generalist" ... and am self-taught in economics. I am honored to have been a writer for Richard Russell's Dow Theory Letters, and have attended a number of forums. In my writing, my favorite contribution is #3 in my archives, a wiki about Ejido Verde: a model of "regenerative economics."

What SEE is – is – up to us.
May it be of benefit.
